FELVÉTELEK 2012-16

MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN Geri Horner (Halliwell) kiadatlan albuma, amely 2016. november 22-én szivárgott ki az internetre, ugyanazon a napon, amikor a Spice Girls „Song For Her” című száma kiszivárgott. A DenDen Forum egyik forrása június 15-én tette közzé a számlistát. A dalokat 2012-2016-ban rögzítették, és Geri kettőt ("Phenomenal Woman" és "I Got a Name") adott elő a Breast Cancer Show zsebműsorában, az év október 3-án. Geri „kicsit felkavarónak” nevezte a kiszivárogtatást, és nem tehet ellene. Bár megpróbálta megállítani a kiszivárogtatást, mivel asszisztense a Facebookon arra kérte a rajongóit, hogy állítsák le a megosztást, végül a lemezcég meggyőzte Gerit, hogy kezdjen új anyagot rögzíteni negyedik albumához. Az egyetlen dal, ami nem tartozik ehhez a „4th Album Sessions”-hez, az a „Half Of Me”, amely egy évvel később jelent meg, és bónuszszámként került be az albumba.

HÁTTÉR

2010 márciusában Carrie Grant énekedző és énekes az ITV1 The Alan Titchmarsh Show-jában bejelentette, hogy Halliwell visszatér a zenéhez. 2010 áprilisában Halliwell üzenetet tett közzé a weboldalán, amelyben azt mondta, hogy visszatért a stúdióba, és Lady Gagára utalt az egyik befolyásaként. 2011 májusában a hírek szerint Halliwell visszatér a zenéhez. 2011. július 31-én Geri megerősítette, hogy a negyedik albumán dolgozik, és kijelentette: „Az album nagyjából kész”. 2012 februárjában Halliwell bejelentette, hogy az album masterelése folyamatban van. 2012 októberében arról számoltak be, hogy Geri új, hét albumra szóló lemezszerződést írt alá a Universal Music Grouppal, röviddel azután, hogy a Breast Cancer Care Show-n bemutatta az új kislemezt, a „Phenomenal Woman”-t. 2013 januárjában arról számoltak be, hogy Halliwell visszatért a stúdióba, és még ebben az évben kiadja az új albumot, a Putting On the Blinget. Úgy tűnik, hogy az album kissé eltér Halliwell korábbi hangzásától, mivel inkább jazzes hangulatot áraszt.
2013 szeptemberében Geri két lemezkiadó céggel szerződött, az egyik a Sony Music Australia. Októberben kiadja a „Half Of Me” című kislemezt, amely rosszul szerepel a slágerlistákon. 2016 novemberében kiszivárgott az internetre egy 12 Tracks album, amely a Man On The Mountain című számról kapta a nevét. Geri „kiábrándítónak” minősítette a kiszivárogtatást, és lemeztársasága arra biztatta, hogy új dalokkal indítsa újra az albumot. Azóta Geri több fotót és videót posztolt az Instagramon, és új dalokat ír, énekel és készít.

KISLEMEZEK

HALF OF ME A brit énekes-dalszerző, Geri Halliwell dala. 2013. október 25-én adta ki a Sony Music Australia. Ez a dal jelentette Halliwell első kislemezének megjelenését a 2005-ös "Desire" című kislemeze óta nyolc év után.

Háttér: Halliwell az Australia's Got Talent bírálóbizottságának tagjaként Ausztráliában élt, és a dalt a DNA Songs ausztrál dalszerző duóval közösen írta. Halliwell úgy jellemezte a dalt, mint "szeretet, remény és optimizmus keveréke, csillogó humorral."

Kiadás: 2013 szeptemberében Halliwell leszerződött a Sony Music Australia-val, és bejelentették, hogy új kislemezét, a Half of Me-t kizárólag Ausztráliában adja ki a következő albumának vezető kislemezeként. A Half of Me első két élő előadására 2013 októberében került sor; az első egy privát ingyenes fellépés volt a sydney-i Beresford Hotelben, a második pedig a Nine Network program alatt, a The Footy Show alatt volt 2013. október 3-án.
